Little Kids Get Their Own Ride — The Train Carts

Not everyone in the family is old enough to drive a machine. The train carts, kid-size ATVs and go-karts, and six-seat side-by-sides mean the youngest ones are not stuck watching from a picnic table.

The Train Carts

Five open carts, two seats each, that hitch behind the UTV you rent — up to ten riders in the train plus everyone in the vehicle, rolling slow around the property. Parents ride along with the little ones, and it is usually the first thing kids ask to do again. Pets are allowed in the carts.

It is an add-on to a UTV rental, not a ride on its own. Book it with a Polaris Ranger or Kawasaki Mule — both seat four and have the hitch — or a Yamaha Viking if you want six seats up front. $100 for an hour, $180 for two.

Add the train carts to your booking, or call or text (210) 560-1116 if you want it as part of a party.

What Kids Can Drive Themselves

  • Small ATV, 1 seat — solo riders age 3 and up, 120 lbs max
  • Medium ATV, 1 seat — solo riders age 10 and up, 200 lbs max
  • Medium go-kart, 2 seats — age 7 and up, at least 4 ft tall, 250 lbs combined
  • Big go-kart or dune buggy — age 14 and up, at least 5 ft tall

Riding Together

UTV drivers must be 18 or older with a valid ID, and passengers can be any age, so a parent can drive while the kids ride along. The six-seat Yamaha Viking is the one families pick most often when everyone wants to go at once.

Helmets and goggles are included with ATV rentals; UTVs and go-karts have roll cages and seat belts instead. Rental vehicles stay on the designated rental trails, are governed to a maximum of 30 MPH, and do not enter mud pits or water crossings.

Activities include ATV rentals (4 sizes, ages 3+), UTV/side-by-side rentals, go-karts, BYO 4x4 mudding, camping, RV hookups, event venue rental, pavilion picnics, pond fishing, and group outings. Helmets and goggles are included with ATV rentals; UTVs and go-karts have roll cages and seat belts instead.

What Can I Rent or Do at the Offroad Park?

Can I rent an ATV, UTV, or Go Kart?

Yes — one-hour ATV rentals are $80–$160 depending on size, UTV/side-by-side rentals are $160–$280 with 2-, 4-, and 6-seat options, and go-kart rentals are $100–$140. Helmets and goggles are included with ATV rentals; UTVs and go-karts have roll cages and seat belts instead. Book online for current availability and two-hour pricing.

Do I need an Access Pass if I'm renting a vehicle?

No — a rental booking covers your entry. Access Passes are for guests bringing their own vehicle. You only need both if someone in your group is also bringing a truck, Jeep, ATV or side-by-side of their own.

Can I bring my own vehicle?

Yes — BYO vehicles are welcome with the appropriate Access Pass. Bring your Jeep, truck, ATV, UTV, dirt bike, or side-by-side. Mud pits and water crossings are for guests using their own vehicles; rental vehicles do not enter those areas.

What are the age requirements?

ATV riders: ages 3+ (Small ATV, max 120 lbs), 10+ Medium, 14+ Big, 21+ XL. ATVs are single-rider machines — every rider needs their own, at any age, so a child cannot ride behind an adult. UTV drivers: 18+ with valid ID, and UTV and go-kart passengers can be any age. No prior experience needed.

What is there for young kids to do?

Kids under the ATV and go-kart minimums can ride the train carts — five open carts, two seats each, that hitch behind a UTV, so up to ten riders plus everyone in the vehicle. It is an add-on to a UTV rental: book it with a Polaris Ranger or Kawasaki Mule, which seat four and carry the hitch, or a Yamaha Viking for six. $100 for an hour, $180 for two, and pets are allowed in the carts. Children can also ride as passengers in a UTV driven by an adult, with no minimum age for passengers.

What's the difference between rentals and BYO?

Rental vehicles use designated rental trails, are governed to a maximum of 30 MPH, and do not enter mud pits or water crossings. With the appropriate Access Pass, guests using their own off-road vehicles can use the BYO trail areas, including mud pits and water crossings. Helmets and goggles are included with ATV rentals; UTVs and go-karts have roll cages and seat belts instead.

How Much Does It Cost and How Do I Book?
